Abstract
We consider a fluid structure interaction problem consisting of a channel with
an elastic wall which deforms due to the flow of an incompressible fluid.
The proposed method consists in the use of a fictitious domain approach so that
the fluid domain is extended outside the channel and the structure is then
immersed in the fluid. This allows to avoid the construction of a time
dependent grid fitted with the position of the structure. Our results
are in good agreement with those provided by a remeshing technique.
