Summary
In this paper an imperfect interface model is presented. The proposed model combines the Kachanov homogenization technique for micro-cracked media for the three-dimensional case and the matched asymptotic method. The interface roughness and the radius evolution for micro-cracks with nominal pressure are taken into account in the nearly complete contact condition. The proposed homogenization-asymptotic-evolution imperfect interface model is compared with well-established imperfect contact models, such as the modified Krolikowski-Szczepec model.
