Abstract
In this paper, the fuzzy neural network (NN) model of machine learning for structural design is presented. Taking the advantages of machine learning through neural network, the structural design procedures are formulated and discussed. Practical examples of preliminary design of reinforced concrete structure are presented to illustrate the philosophy of intelligent design. Some comments on further development of intelligent design of structures are made.
