Abstract
A comparative analysis between experimental results and those given by EUROCODE N. 2 (EC 2), ACI 318-89, CEB/95 and Brazilian code basic text NB-1/93 (not yet approved) is presented. This analysis is related to slab - edge column connections, for rectangular columns, with a bending moment acting perpendicular to the free edge. The tests were made by Libbrio, in the Laboratory of the Structural Engineering Department, Sao Carlos School of Engineering (EESC), University of Sao Paulo (USP). One of the aspects analysed was the column side ratio, where the relationship between the perpendicular free edge column side and the parallel one varied from two (2) to four (4).
