Abstract
The objective here is to describe the system used. The system hardware which comprises a radio controlled boat, telemetry, echo-sounder and electronic position fixing was devised with the objectives of reducing survey costs while speeding chart production. Real time computing provides control for the survey, data logging and "on-site" plots. Before concluding two possible methods of conducting the survey are outlined.
