Abstract
This paper illustrates the use of the theorems of structural variation for the reanalysis of finite element structures. The formulations presented here, form the basis for an efficient computer implementation. The potential use of the theorems is demonstrated for linear and nonlinear finite element analysis, by considering some simple examples.
