Abstract
This paper discusses some general principles and concepts of adaption that can be applied to develop software system for the construction industry. object-oriented design methods and object-oriented programming are used to implement the adaptive mechanisms in such system. The main objective of this research work is to design an adaptive estimating software system to illustrate the use of adaptive principles and object-oriented approaches.
