Abstract

A simple method to estimate the Cost Benefit in the use of micro-computers in the Civil and Structural Consulting Engineer's office, is proposed by the author. The formulae, the required parameters and the application of the method are discussed. General concepts of efficiency and guidelines for improving profitability are given. The cost effective number of micro-computers required by a firm is determined.
