Abstract
Schedule updating plays a large and significant role in the management process of any construction project. Yet, it is a task seldom performed given the intricacies and complexities of commercially available planning and scheduling software tools. This is largely due to the manual paper-based practices currently used for recording activity progress status and generating a new updated schedule.

UPDATERTM is an application intended for automating the collection process of progress data in the field. UPDATER allows for collecting, recording, and manipulating of progress data electronically.
