Abstract
The present paper deals with parallelization of explicit time stepping algorithm in a general finite element environment. Particularly, support for nonlocal constitutive models has been considered. A central difference method has been used to discretize the governing equation in time. Modifications of both node-cut and element-cut strategies have been developed to provide efficient support for nonlocal constitutive models.
