Abstract
Elastic small deflection response of fiber-reinforced laminated sector Mindlin plates are studied using Dynamic Relaxation (DR) iterative methods. Finite-difference discretization technique is incorporated so that the DR partial differential velocity equations can be solved by preparing a suitable computer code. The plate can be arranged in any number of layers and with various fiber orientations but the lay-ups must be symmetric with respect to the plate middle-plane. The loading on the plate is a uniform pressure, the boundary restraints can be either simply-supported or clamped or a combination of both. Linearized results for lateral displacement, radial, circumferential and twisting stress couples and transverse shear stress resultants are presented. Similar results are generated using the NISA Finite Element package for comparison purposes. In most cases the correction of the results is satisfactory .
