Abstract
Results of enterprise integration within a construction Small-Medium Enterprise (SME) involved in both civil engineering maintenance and project work are presented. The research utilised existing systems engineering tools to investigate the processes that were undertaken by the contractor to fulfill specific client requirements including the information demands of internal clients. The results of this work were then used to build simple information technology (IT) applications internal to the company that could be adapted to link with external systems. The emphasis of this work was to deliver simple solution that could provide a meaningful impact on business performance without requiring the resources of a large company.
