Abstract
All iterative method for the static analysis of structures Which includes cables and fabrics is presented here. The structure is assumed to be composed of straight members which accepting tension and/or compression: they may have an elastic non-linear behaviour, and are joined in articulated nodes. Sequences of consecutive connected members, slipping on the intermediate nodes (polygonal cables) and all of them withstanding the same tension may also be considered. The method which takes into consideration all the characteristics of this type of structure is fully described and a set of examples is included.
