Abstract
The space truss structure with CFRP pipes has been developed. For the development of this structure, several tests and experiments have been conducted and some material and structural data are gained. In this paper, mechanical properties of CFRP pipes, joints, and space truss units are mentioned.

As a result, mechanical properties of CFRP pipes are estimated in theoretically. Strength of rivet joints is enough. From the space truss units bending tests, there can be seen a preferable response between experimental and analytical results both transformation and axial force of each members. It is confirmed that there is possibilities using the CFRP pipe as space truss structure.
