Abstract
An original mathematical model is presented for the restoration of the North and South Wall faces of the Parthenon temple in Acropolis, Athens, Greece. The mathematical model was developed as an expert system, using fuzzy logic techniques. The model is implemented in a software package, called IKTINOS. Apart from the actual application, the mathematical model itself, is original and may be used for various computational engineering problems, especially when dealing with missing data or inadequate information.
