Abstract
Based upon an adaptation of the Di Sciuva's theory for laminated plates the equations of motions for laminated beams are developed.

It is assumed that plane sections of each layer remain plane. The other hypothesis for isotropic beams are also assumed.

The equations are specified to the linear eigenvalue problem of the undamped vibration of rectangular beams.

The accuracy of the theory is assessed by comparing the results using it with the ones obtained by Pardoen and Tracy, and Krishma Murty. An analysis of the natural modes is also performed.
