Abstract
The aim of this paper is to demonstrate new theorems which predict the variation of S-1, the inverse of the stiffness matrix of a structure, when an element of the structure is modified, by using, as in any theorem of structural variations, a small number of operations on small matrices ; we show that, using these new theorems concurrently with the notion of mother-structure, it is possible to elaborate an efficient method to compute S-1 itself.
