Abstract
This chapter deals with the FETI-DP (Dual-Primal Finite Element Tearing and Interconnecting) method. The FETI-DP method is a combination of the Schur complement method and the FETI method. The FETI-DP makes use of advantages of each particular method and is applicable in various two and three dimensional problems of second and fourth order. Compatibility among subdomains is enforced by a special ordering of some boundary unknowns and by Lagrange multipliers. Very good properties of the method have been proved in literature.
