Summary
The paper deals with a 2-axle railway bogie with active wheelset guidance and its practical implementation as a 1/3.5 scaled model on a roller rig. The roller rig and bogie design are described in detail. The main goal is use the scaled roller rig experiments to verify and demonstrate advantages of active wheelset steering. Results of roller rig tests and MBS computer simulations are shown and discussed.
