Abstract
Two new shopping buildings at Nantes and Epone in France have been designed with external cable stayed frames supporting their roofs. A distinctive feature of the structures are their "two-dimensional" transverse frame systems. This paper describes the overall structural design and in particular those aspects which required non-linear analysis.
