Abstract
In this paper, scissor-link foldable structures known as pantograph structures are studied. Updated Lagrangian formulation and modified Newton-Raphson method are used for nonlinear analysis of flat grids, barrel vaults and antenna types of foldable space structures. For solving nonlinear equilibrium equations, an incremental iterative scheme is employed. Examples are provided to show the performance of the approach being employed, and the results of linear and non - linear analysis are compared.
