Abstract
In this paper eight shear walls specimens tested experimentally by different researchers were modeled using the nonlinear finite element program called HODA. The models were loaded under monotonically increasing static loads until failure and the analytical results including the load-displacement and load-strain characteristics. crack pattern. failure load and mode of failure are compared with the experimental data were available. The correlation studies show good agreement between the analytical and the experimental findings.
