Abstract
This article aims to present an object-oriented approach for the design and the implementation of a Task Broker written in C++. The Task Broker is used to control parallel computations on distributed memory computers although it may be used as well on shared memory computers. The efficiency and good maintainability of the Task Broker are observed in many industrial benchmarks of parallel computation with POLYFLOW. One of those benchmarks is illustrated.
