Abstract
This article is a presentation of the use of new structural materials and new combinations of old materials as illustrated in two architectural / structural full scale collages build in Copenhagen.

The first one on a building exhibition 93, concentrating on masonry buildings as, prestressed and reinforced brickwork, composite structures with brick and steel and new use of brick domes.

The second one is a permanent exhibition building named "The builders building", containing advanced masonry structures, use of high strength concrete in suspension with steel rods. Experiments also with external carbon fiber reinforcement for jointing concrete elements.

The article concentrates on the ideas and the thoughts behind the experiments.

The aim of the building is to show the pleasure of sound and visible structures, and to point out, that new technology still has a lot to offer for contemporary and h-sighted architects and engineers.
