Abstract
Based on the Hellinger-Reissner principle, a new finite strip method, mixed combination spline finite strip method is proposed. Not only the deflections of plate, but also the moments can be simultaneously obtained with the same order of accuracy. The virtues of this method over the conventional finite strip method and spline finite strip method is that the real values of field variables, not parameters, can be directly obtained and the boundary conditions can be more easily treated. Numerical examples indicate this method is efficient and accurate.
