Abstract
The overall objective of this paper is to describe the background concepts of ISO-P (2D) which stands for Integrated Structural Optimization Package and uses adaptive isoparametric finite element (FE) analysis. Currently, three fragments exist. TOPS - for topology optimization using the hard kill method, IMAGE - for interactive image processing of the results of topology optimization and ADOPT - for the automatic adaptive FE analysis and shape optimization.
