Abstract
This paper describes a parallel processing implementation of adaptive finite element analysis of plate bending problems. The parallelization of the solver is based on a parallel preconditioned conjugate gradient method using domain decomposition and exact or inexact solvers on each subdomain. The error indicator and the resulting refinement parameters are computed in parallel.
