Abstract
The purpose of the talk is to describe domain decomposition techniques from the point of view of large scale three-dimensional linear structural problems. The present paper successively describes the basic elasticity problem, the general domain decomposition technique, the preconditioner and global coarse solver which is used, different partitioning techniques, and finally presents several numerical results obtained on parallel machines with various partitioning techniques.
