Abstract
Modeling a railway infrastructure as a graph might not be as straight forward as one may think. Multiple different approaches to achieve this goal have been proposed over the years. They make use of different strategies to achieve the main goal of having every feasible path defined on a railway infrastructure graph be a feasible path in the physical world. We present a novel way on how to model a railway infrastructure as a graph, which also achieves this goal and other beneficial properties.
