Abstract
Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd which has many curved lines, uses rail lubricators to lubricate the rail/wheel interface. Previously, engineers periodically walked the tracks and adjusted lubrication based on their experience. We investigated whether it would be possible to monitor lubrication status in real time and remotely using PQ monitoring bogies capable of continuous measurement on operational lines. In this study, lubrication condition tests of the rail lubricators were conducted to evaluate the feasibility of managing lubrication on the entire line. As a result, we were able to maintain an appropriate lubrication condition, so I present them in this paper.
