Abstract
Light rolling stocks are considered for allowing a frugal exploitation of European secondary regional lines. The Ferromobile proposition is based on a 8 seated road minibus adapted for rail operated in driverless mode. The use of an automatic protection (ATP) inspired by the functional specification available concerning European Railway management system (ERTMS), is proposed to insure the respect of signalling. The present paper focus on the potential impact on a bit flip of the ATP dedicated processor. An error was analysed using a statistical model checking tool on an open architecture processor. The results achieve a correct level of reliability, but enlarging the restrictive assumption of the study deserve further investigations.
