Summary
The results obtained from a computer-based simulation of a railway vehicle's dynamic behaviour are influenced on the one hand by the model itself, its structure, its detailing and modelling depth and on the other hand by the parameters. In this paper the influence of the structural flexibilities of both wheelsets and rails as a kind of detailing are compared with the ones of the contact geometry and of the friction in the wheel-rail contact, which are parameters depending on the operating conditions.
