Summary
The data of the significant experimental and theoretical research for train loading on railway tracks, which were obtained by Russian scientists are presented in this paper. Considering the results of the research in the field of high train loads on the influence of the infrastructure on the railway track it is possible to make a conclude that ballast material is the most important factor which influences the value of the dynamic stresses on the upper part of the subgrade. The centrifuge modelling enables the subgrade behaviour to be investigated as the train pressure loading varies.
