Summary
Answering the need of an industrial search for a model order reduction to be used on a parametric problem, we offer to adapt the proper generalized decomposition (PGD) for its use. The goal of the work, described in this paper, is to adapt the PGD to dynamics problems. Proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) will be used as a comparison tool for the PGD basis, because they are both reduced order modeling methods using separated variables. In order to use these methods on dynamics problems, a choice has to be made regarding the integration scheme, therefore this paper will present different possibilities and show what they offer. Results on academic problems for the method will be presented.
