Summary
Piezoelectric actuators are used for vibration control of a smart composite plate. In this paper, Mindlin plate theory is used in the finite element modeling of laminates with piezoelectric layers. Furthermore vibration suppression using control strategy is considered. The control is based on rules and fuzzy inference techniques. The fuzzy control is adaptive, so that performance can be optimized using numerical experiments by following the adaptive neuro fuzzy control strategy. Numerical results indicate that the proposed method is efficient. Comparison of plate results with previously developed beam results is satisfactory.
