Abstract
In engineering practice, heavy damages have been taken place by collisons t o space trusses. Damage of this type may substantially reduce the strength and stiffness of compression members. A secant stiffness method of analysis for damaged space trusses is presented. Numerical results calculated compared very well with other published analytical results and with tests. It is found that localized damage of compression members may have a considerable effect on the load-carrying capacity of space trusses.
