Abstract
A computer program has been developed to assist in the selection and positioning of cranes on the construction site. A graphical interface allows the user to lay out buildings, material stockpiles, power lines, roads, etc., on the screen and then experiment with various crane positions and configurations on the site. By comparing cranes with different lifting capacities, boom lengths, and positions, the user can select the most appropriate equipment for the job.
