Abstract
Variational parallel proximal-point algorithms are presented for the elastic perfectly plastic two-body frictional contact problem. Combining nonverlappirlg domain decomposition and operator splitting methods, macro-hyhrid mixed variational formulations of the problem are produced, with constitutive, contact and interface transmission constraints dualized. In this manner, general finite element spatial discretizations are naturally introduced with non-matching grids, and for fully discrete incremental processes, robust and well conditioned numerical algorithms of duality and exact penalization type are systematically deduced, as proximal-point approximations. ions.
